Objective. The study aims to explain how prepare a disaster manual, describes it and shows is applied in tertiary care hospital when emergency occur. Methods. We based the article on principles of medicine, recent literature experiences gained during pandemic COVID emergency. Results. Recent terrorist attacks have highlighted importance contingency plan effectively efficiently manage large influx wounded. Careggi Hospital’s PEMAF (emergency plans for massive injured) comprehensive well-coordinated response situation. hospital’s specialized team, surge capacity plan, patient tracking system provide necessary resources immediate efficient patients event disaster. Conclusions. Disaster medicine protocols play critical role preparing healthcare professionals respond large-scale disasters, including attacks. By following established can effective those affected by disasters help mitigate impact future disasters.
